With four public presentations, February was a busy month for the CSHub team. Early in the month, the Hub welcomed a delegation of Panamanian government officials to campus. The delegates, who heard presentations from CSHub Faculty Director Franz-Josef Ulm and CSHub Executive Director Jeremy Gregory, were visiting the U.S. to receive advanced training in life cycle cost analysis, best value determinations and risk management through a U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) program called the Global Procurement Initiative: Understanding Best Value (GPI).
Mid-month, the Hub welcomed more international visitors, this time representing 11 countries, along with representatives from U.S. regions, for a global cement convened by PCA. Attendees discussed cement and sustainability research, along with opportunities to collaborate on advancing future research.
At the end of the month, researchers traveled to Harrisburg, PA and Kansas City, MO, for the Pennsylvania Concrete Conference and the Missouri/Kansas Concrete Pavement Workshop and Expo.
